The Greenest Branch is an Award Semifinalist!

chaucer award semi-finalistHappy New Year 2019 fellow readers and writers! I hope it is off to a good start for you. Personally, I cannot complain.

I will be returning with more historical fiction reviews soon, but for now I wanted to share with you exciting news. The Greenest Branch, my historical novel based on the life of Hildegard of Bingen, Germany’s first female physician, has made the semi-finalist list of the 2018 CHAUCER Awards for pre-1750 Historical Fiction.

It is an honor to have my work recognized among a large group of stellar historical fiction authors. It makes the eight-year effort to bring The Greenest Branch and The Column of Burning Spices to life worthwhile. It is a reminder that as you toil away at achieving your dream, it is important to  persist no matter the obstacles and doubts.

First  Place Category Winners and Grand Prize Awards will be announced and recognized at the Chanticleer Awards Banquet and Ceremony on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, Bellingham, Washington.
